1. Do dancers who don't want to compete have to wear numbers?
Non-competing dancers do not have to have a number;
they are welcome to dance in any non-contest dance.
Returning dancers do not get bonus points.
Everyone starts the competition equally.
Do we ask for proof?
What about dancers who don't have the information with them?
What about dancers from Canada who don't have a SSN?
We need dancers' SSNs in case WE are audited.
No proof is required, we are on the honor system.
If a dancer does not have the information with them,
and they win, we may have to ask
them to provide the information in the future.
Canadian dancers may have to give proof of residency,
if we get audited.
Currently we ask visiting royalty to fill out a form and
announce them during Grand Entry,
but have nothing to give at this time.
The rules state that dancers must
"present themselves in their full category outfit in which they contested",
so Yes and in full regalia.
Once again, the signature is to track them in case of an audit.
If they don't have it, we need some other way to track them.
Their signature shows that
they agree to the rules of competition.
Do you automatically get GE points for registering?
To receive GE points you must be in
full regalia and participate in GE;
the number takers assure participation.
No, there are no points awarded for registering.
Are they going to dance separately?
Tiny Tots traditionally all dance together in one group;
they are all declared winners.
Due to Texas weather.
Grand Entry is the only set time.
Categories can be called at any time.
Depends on regalia and type of dance.
